I went to PR this year to visit my family who still lives there. This is we one of the places I wanted to go to. I was so close too, the Airbnb that my husband rented was literally right next to barranchina on the left side (big green door). Sadly I never got to try the piña colada from there since the only time I was able to go, it was super packed. Me quedé con unas ganas! 😢 I’ll make it at home instead.

The potential is great using sugar beet, corn and grain Ukraine could produce 9 million tonnes of ethanol but knowing my luck Ukrainians will be drinking it rather than putting it in cars .

A lot of hype around brands but it's just ethanol. The better you purity it the better ... Then you dilute it with distilled water to around 40 abv and you have perfect voda

I'm a Beefeater man. The only gin I like as well is Boodles, which no longer can be found in Kentucky. I would take exception to what Mr. Payne was saying about the only thing in whiskey being grain. Yeast plays a tremendous role in the taste of the end product, and distilleries guard their proprietary yeast strains like the Crown Jewels. The barrel also has much to do with the flavor of Bourbon, as do time and rack location in the rickhouse. London gin sounds very much like Bourbon, in that there is federal law governing what can and cannot be sold as Bourbon. I was an industrial equipment salesman for many years, and had a number of distilleries as customers. It is amazing to learn all the complexities that go into crafting good Bourbon.

I get it we need this stuff to live our sucky lives but the way they disguise the product as softened water and elixirs instead of saying this is pure poison (ethenol) you are drinking will be looked back on these ridiculous videos in next centuries. When my husband & I were in Mexico on our CRUISE EXCURSIONS, I was SHOCKED at the POLICE walking & driving around with ASSAULT RIFLES AROUND THEIR NECKS & GERMAN SHEPPARD'S ON A LEASH. EVERYWHERE! In Puerto Vallarta there were POLICE armed in front of clothing boutiques where we were for that days excursion at the ELSID HOTEL! Scary!!

The funny thing about this is that the whole alcohol market has found a great way to make money by flavoring their spirits. Which would be fine. But when you get these, you're not getting the full spirit. You're getting half or less. So every shot of this is actually half a shot. But they get you to buy their distilled water to make up the other half shot. Pretty ingenious marketing practice. Especially when you look and look and don't see the proof or abv% on the bottles. But in reality... most people don't really want to taste their alcohol so I guess they're just giving the customer what they want.

So it seems that the light skin Mexicans are in upper management positions and dark skin Mexicans are the laborers. Mexico needs to change and stop giving the Spanish colonizers descendants these positions. There is no middle class in Mexico, guess who is considered as the higher/upper class

They don't tell you about the fact that they can legally add up to 1% of any additional flavors, to the product. Many times (unless "CERTIFIED ADDITIVE-FREE") the distillery will add sweeteners and especially, vanilla additive, to mask bitter notes or just to sweeten the final product. Yes, even the tall enigmatic DON JULIO "1942" tequila, has additive! Anyone can test a tequila at home. Pour a very thin layer of any tequila into a tiny frying pan, making sure the base of the pan is completely covered by the liquid. Simmer on a stove top until all liquid has cooked off, leaving just a residue in the pan. ONLY AFTER IT HAS COOLED, run your finger tip across this left over residue. Taste it. If you taste an "oak-like" taste or bitterness, it's fine because you're tasting the oak or bitterness that occurs naturally from the wood. However, if the remaining residue taste sweet or "vanilla-like", then that tequila had a vanilla or other type of sweetener. The tequila is most definitely NOT "Additive-Free" and is a shame. There are SO MANY fantastic tequilas that ARE "Certified Additive Free" and traditionally made, with expert production knowledge

Artisan made Pisco (chacra) is by far the best, and it can be brought to the US (still)

Love Reyka. It’s my go-to vodka. I’m a bartender and I spend a lot of time around high end vodkas making cocktails. Reyka can definitely hold it’s own against brands that are twice as expensive.
